Raglan Shaping
In this class, Helen will show you the process of converting one of the silhouettes demonstrated in the Garment class, into a Raglan or Saddle shoulder through paper patterns and swatch-making. Graphs are provided for students who want to create the same swatch and tweak for their own fit.
Designing V Necks
Learn how V-necks are knitted on the knitting machine! Helen will walk you through the techniques of 9 different V neck designs that you can apply to a sweater. The class consists of videos and graphs that you can download and follow to make your own garment swatches.
Pockets
Who doesn’t love pockets? In this class, Helen tried out 7 different pockets, both top opening and side opening. As usual, graphs will be provided.
Fringing
Fringes, loops and pile knitting feature in this series. Some use techniques already covered in the patterning class - weave and fairisle to create long floats and others are hand-wrapped on the machine. A really fun series to add some dramatic texture to your fabrics.
